Mount did by TIKS in 95.

Caught on lake Oconomowoc on a crankbait fishing for Bass.

I had a 12 and 12.5 inch bluegills mounted a years ago. They were on top of a desk until the dogs knocked them off and chewed them up. It is best to mount them on the wall. Panfish look smaller if you mount them too high above your head

These two crappies- my wife caught one and I caught the other - were both legit 14”. After freezing them, they both shrunk to 12”. Replicas are the way to go.

Alot of people would have a hard time releasing that Bull.

Congratulations on the release and great looking mount.

Well done.

The mount was done by Mayes Taxidermy in Stevens Point.  A little pricey, but for a fish of a lifetime, I think it was well worth it.  Attached is a photo of the fish before it was released.

This is a replica that I had done of a legitimate 12" bluegill that my wife caught, July of 2021.  I think that it turned out great.  Fish of a lifetime.

Just bumped into this thread.  Nice looking fish!

I've never had a fish (or any animal) mounted before.  Generally, what is the going rate for a replica mount, and what type of information is needed to have it done as close to the "real thing" as possible (measurements, photos, etc.)?

Someone wanted to see a sunfish(pumpkinseed) mount. A good friend of mine just started doing replica mounts. He's a guide and wildlife artist named Jim Tostrud and prefers to release the mounters. He's in Kenosha. Check him out. Here is a pic of a sunnie that he did  this year.
