Latley I've been addicted to using a dropshot rig for panfish...anyone else doing this?

I was casting with one in a slough using an octopus hook and a slinky sinker about 16 inches from the hook. Caught more small perch on the dropshot than the slipfloat rig today. A string of small spit shot was pretty snag resistant too. Normally I keep the sinker closer but I used the longer lead to keep the bait off the bottom on the longer casts. Caught bigger perch and a smalleye with dropshot last time.
