The Jumbo Perch that are possible on Lake Gogebic in Upper Michigan are amazing.
Walleye can be decent also.
Or, there is a variety of other fishing around Watersmeet and Marenisco, MI areas such as Northern, Musky, Panfish, Bass, Trout, etc.
Besides Lake Gogebic there is the Cisco Chain of Lakes, Beatons Lake, and many many Ottawa National Forest area lakes.
Some stayed at a cabin rental called Stickley Lodge Getaway which is between Watersmeet and Marenisco. They have mapbooks to use during your stay for fishing, using trails with ATV ORVS, using canoes, etc. Also, the cabin sleeps many people for a reasonable price. Fun cabin with gameroom and room for the guys or girls. They do have a website. Rogers Bar is not far from the cabin also to share fishing or area stories and enjoy some warm food and drinks.
A number had fun in the area. Beautiful scenery of mountains, rivers, waterfalls, scenic drives, etc. If your group likes to do a variety of things this area could be good for you. There is cross country skiing, snowmobiling, siteseeing, variety of restaurants and more.
