Anyone on this site fish the MASZON RIVER ? your opinions ?

Off shore access ?   fish caught ?

I will have to give it a try for some catfish.

It’s got a good population of smallmouth but there is virtually no shore access. You’d need to get permission from a landowner to get to the river. 

I've never fished it before but have passed it multiple times.  It is a shallow muddy creek for the most part and I don't think it has much in the way of access.  It definitely holds fish as it connects with the Illinois river and a bunch of the strip pits near coal city feed into it.
