Recently retired and am wondering if anybody sells the old swish rods/reels I used 40-50 years ago for perch? I'm sure there are better options today but the swish rods worked very well back in the old days....

Yep, fishing Mendota with my Dad and Uncle was great fun back in the late 60's and 70's, I remember it fondly. I wonder why it was discontinued? I can't think of any problems we had with them and the numbers of perch we caught....

The swish rod was a unique rod and reel combo used on lake Mendota for many years.  I still have 2.  No I won't sell.  There was a company that tried to revive the swish rod a couple of years ago but I don't know if the company has survived.  You can probably find them on e bay??

I think the rod could still be useful in the right application.  Good fishing
