Looking for some insight from your experience -

I have no problem finding the crappies early and late season as I seem to have their general patterns down pretty good. I tend to struggle mid season like this time of the year though. They don't seem to school in the areas I assume they would so I'm wondering what tactics you guys use to find them? I know this time of the year is tough in general with the low O2 levels but the fish gotta be somewhere! It'd be one thing if I was marking them and they weren't active but I don't even mark them like I usually do. A lot of the lakes I fish have deep 40-60+ foot holes that I tend to avoid, but maybe they're schooled up out there? Just seems like the normal sharp drop offs on the edge of bowls, weedlines, deep flats don't produce anymore and everything I read talks about the big schools of crappie this time of the year...
