Rip Joe , he got me started using the inline rods and his plastics. 

RIP Joe.  If there is an Ice Fishing Hall Of Fame, he should be in it.  I still have some of the original "Purple Hermans" he made from the '80s.  I'm gonna use them with my line through the blank rod and get a limit of gills in his memory.
