What do you wear to keep warm? I feel it’s finally time to buy something nice. I’ve just worn generic winter hats all my life icefishing.

Been wearing Mad Bomber hats for years.   Inside the shack I switch to a Stormy Kromer .   My favorite for ice cold temps is the leather and rabbit fur Mad Bomber !!!!

A very old (30 plus years) Air Force hat that a friend gave me when he was at Chanute AFB in Rantoul.  Warm as heck I wear it all the time.

Stormy Kromer Trapper Hat.  Warm. Also can be configured for warmer days. I chose it because I am allergic to rabbit fur. Can eat em all day but the fur doesn't like me.

The stormy rancher is really the ticket.   Regular stormy and a hoodie do the trick also

Just a normal ball cap and put a sweatshirt hood up if need be, I'm not a fan of anything else.

As for Stormy's, you want a "Rancher" version.  Thinsulate in the crown and much longer ear flaps.  I tend to get too warm while ice fishing, so the flaps are usually up.  It is plenty warm and looks cool to boot.  I have 3 of them and feel that everyone should have at least one in the red plaid version...

I've  always wanted the Stormy Kromer hat, bummer to hear that they are not that warm.

Some of those hats will keep you warm, but they sure look funny. IMO.

If you can swing the moola then go for a genuine fur cap, raccon, muskrat, fox beaver lots of choices if you have the cash. If theyre made right they should be warm.

for warmth and flexibility the bomber style was my Dad's choice... fold up the ear flaps if that's too warm... but don't get a cheap knock off, get a genuine... they have a sale on some models now

I agree, the Elmer Fudd cap is cool looking, and a classic, but not sold on the warmth...

don't really ice fish anymore, but when I did, a beanie cap and hoodie
