Just wondering if anyone has ever made a auger mount for a ball mount. I downsized to a jeep liberty and would like to securely carry my auger on the ball mount of my hitch..Thanks for any suggestions and ideas

They make some pretty deluxe stuff if you want to spend the money. This swing-away model might be the ticket.

Home Depot may order it for you, but shop around for best price. I found this one at Camping World.

Are you talking about using this mount on the highway? Your machine will be exposed to all the crud that winter offers. Grit and road salt. No way would I be exposing a auger worth hundereds of dollars into that position.

Now if you can mount one of those plastic tool boxes back there and fit the auger into, that should work well and keep your gear protected. Plus fit a bunch of other stuff into the box.

I would put in the back fuel fill up and close the hatch.

Just take the powerhead off the auger and rest it across a milk crate on the cargo area.

Why are we always trying to over-complicate things?
