Does anyone else like to shoot and carry single action revolvers? I had several of them 30 years ago and sold them off. I recently purchased a .22 cal single six and am waiting for a .357 mag single six to be delivered.......purchased western belts and holsters for both of them. Thinking about practicing to get involved in Cowboy Action Shooting.....of course that means I have to buy a couple more guns (rifle and shotgun).

Never use rear sight much on any of my handguns....front sight on target and bullet goes where you want it.

I have 2, both Rugers. a Ruger Single Six. I like the .22mag cylinder. And a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 mag. 7.5" barrel. Love it! Congrats on your .45.

Well the Gun Dealer made a mistake and instead of ordering a .357 he ordered a .45LC.....an honest mistake because I have been talking about .45 LC for months, but the email I sent him specifically said .357. Then he tried to order the .357 and non were available at the sources, so I got a fantastic deal on a .45LC, a box of 50 cartridges and a western holster and belt............got it all for about 40 bucks more than the .357 mag would have cost....not bad at all.

Have to agree on the wife thing Steve. I started talking cost and it set things in motion....lol. At this point I am going to just start doing some practice shooting and see what the future brings. I do love the "old School" look and feel of the western gear and weapon.

I love single action revolvers but only own two, a non-descript .22 revolver that my dad used to own and a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 magnum.

I've carried that pistol all over the country using it to shoot whitetail deer, wild hogs, a couple different types of sheep and carried it as backup on an Idaho bear hunt.

I've always thought that cowboy action shooting would be a lot of fun to try, but I've got enough expensive hobbies. I believe my wife would leave me if I started another....
