Not sure who posted the first thread with just a title but... where is the ammo? If you find a supply and want to share where post below.

I read yesterday that the IRS bought $700,000 worth of ammo already this year. Dang, the coming audits are going to get rough.

Looking for 700x powder for reloading. Anything out there anywhere?

Thanks

glimmertwin,

I think they sell 350 Legend and 450 Bushmaster due to both being created almost exclusively for deer hunting in midwest states. 450 Bushmaster is insanely expensive (usually $35-50 per box of 20 rounds around here)...and 350 Legend is not nearly as cheap as it was 3 years ago when they launched the caliber. Despite being AR-compatible, neither are able to be placed in a large capactiy magazine easily (I believe a 20-round 5.56 magazine can be converted to hold 5-6 rounds of 450 BM). The same could be said for the .308 Win, but it is also one of the most popular deer hunting rounds of all time? The funny thing is they won't sell .223 FMJ, but will sell .223 Power Shok and ballistic tip Varmint loads...? Make THAT make sense...? They also sell bolt action 350 Legend and 450 BM rifles...if you're going to sell the rifle, you almost have to sell the ammo as well, right? Again, I don't agree with them not selling .223 / 5.56 ammo like they used to, but it is what it is...

Has anyonr else moticed that while Wall- Mart took the high road, and won’t sell the evil .556/.223 they do have (at least in Marshfield) .350 legend a plenty as well as .450

Seems to me used in same rifle probably more deadly than .223/.556!

Just shows how inept and out of touch the ammo buyers are.

Just got  back from Scheels in Appleton mall.  Lots of 380, 357, 44 mag.  The rifle section had 270, 308, 7mm-o8.  They even had about ten boxes of 280 Rem!!  They now have abnout 8 boxes of it.

Was in Walmart lacrosse today.

Took a wrong turn and ended up in the ammo aisle. 28 gauge lead birdshot was only present.

I don't really bother anymore. Make the shots count I guess.

Got online ammo ads yesterday with no price inreases. Actually some prices lower. Fleet in Germantown had trap loads last week when I was there.

Stopped by fleet farm today. Always swing by ammo to see what is there. Associate stopped over and said ‘if you are thinking about ammo, do it today. Prices are going up significantly monday’. Nice of her to let those of us browsing know.
