Where's the ammo
I'd go with B.S.
Scheels Appleton had lots of 12 gauge Black Cloud various shot size
Rem 30-30, 270, 22 LR, 9MM, 380 and on and on.
Matter of fact the shelves were full as of 1030 this morning.
No primers but lots of various powders.
Scheels Eau Claire, Remington Core-lokt .270 130 gr, around 100 boxes, $24.99, Remington Core-lokt 30-30 150 gr, around 60 boxes $22.99, more rifle shells on the shelves than 10 days ago, very little for Shotgun shells.
Green bay East had some 7mm deer loads today. I have not seen those when I check lately. .223 varmint 55 grain plenty of boxes too.
More today than usual but the same old stuff.
Hunt, Rogers sporting goods, online only
What Walmart? The only thing I found was 243 90 grain and it was only 2 boxes.. If there is some 270 put 4 boxes off to the side and message me trying to get my son to sight in his new gun ..
There is tons of ammo being made. It comes into my store every day. Rifle, shotgun, rimfire. Some Of everything On every truck.
There was a couple of cases of 20 gauge trap loads , some 3 inch 3 shot 12 gauge steel and a bunch of 22 bricks at the lake geneva Walmart. Also some other rifle ammo, I didn't get the size.
Saw an interview with the guy from federal, he said it's all about supply chain stuff and the Remington plant going under didn't help. Getting that plant up is not like turning on a light switch he said.
I honestly don't think there is that much hoarding going on... I think at the price of ammo a person is not buying up stock.. There is o production problem... Not just ammo. I work in printing and there is paper and plastic product shortage plus if you find something Trucking problems short on drivers.. My wife was on line and out of stock on alot of web site.. My feeling is the lack of skilled trade workers..Young people are not filling positions from retirees.. watch Azz Wipe shortages coming.... Good luck on getting ammo so you can hunt.. I will put information out when I see It... Good day for you Walleye warrior a Crew win and ammo... Be safe out there and good luck..
I was able to get both 12 and 20 gauge shells. Stopped in at WalMart in Beloit and they had a few boxes of 20 ga on the shelf. Those six boxes were all they had. No other ammunition of any kind. Shelves were completely bare. GAT guns in Elgin, IL had a half dozen boxes or high brass 12ga #6 from some Italian brand I never heard of. $20 a box! I bought three because I can’t find these anywhere and we are just getting into pheasant season.
The larger question is why is everyone hoarding ammo to the point manufacturers can’t keep up with demand?
