Looking at buying a 45 colt uberti 1873 cattlemen with a bird head grip, 3.5" barrel, brand new and still in the box, he is asking 360.00 for it. Seem like a good deal, what do you think?

Sounds like a decent deal if it's a gun youd enjoy shooting, and assuming you dont want to run any high pressure hand loads or factory loads through it.

If you like that barrel length I would say go for it.  Especially if the seller has ammo for it or available--a little dicey finding handgun ammo anywhere right now.

I paid about that much for a used Uberti .45 w/ 4 3/4 inch barrel several years ago.  I like how it looks and I occasionally pack it in the woods. It's a good shooter.

Interesting sidenote:  Sportsman's Guide used to carry chamber adapters for .45 revolvers allowing one to shoot .22 rimfire from a .45 revolver.  Not sure if they still do.
