First off I check prior posts and didn't see this titled... If I missed it sorry. I plan on using these for the first time next year. Kinda got back into the salmon swing the last two years..just want to expand my offering. Any tips or things to do or not to do would be great..thanks in advance.

Thanks Shellfish. If he or anyone else provides me his or her email address in a PM I would be happy to send them a word.doc that describes most of what I do with Brad's cut plugs.

Sure would like to see this terrible weather improve so we get some decent action in WI. I've never waited this long for initial outing.

Hopefully my buddy Greybeard will respond on using the brad baits.  He has used these baits for a number of years .  He has studied, experimented and tried multiple applications of these baits and has developed a solid pattern that works.

He also  is very good at explaining how to use these patterns.  This helps folks unfamiliar with this technique to transition easily into new methods.

Good fishing,  Shellfish

I am trying brads this year because of hassle with meat rigs.  I don’t usually fish much past prime time anyway

I am a few seasons in and I love salmon fishing. I want to add another layer to my trolling gear. I live in the Milwaukee area and I have checked the fishing hole. They do not carry the cut strips. WHERE DO YOU FIND THE MEAT STRIPS? I dont want to order a whole case online because I would like some variety. Especially starting off I dont want to be stuck with one type of herrinig....ect. Little help please!

Decided to get some meat rigs from gander 50%off.  They are the big weenie brand and I was wondering if I can run ballyhoo strips on them even tho they say whole meat rig?  Or do I have to use whole herring?

When using 8" spin doctors I just use them out of the package. If you're using a larger paddle I believe they need to be lengthened a bit.

We run meat a far amount of the time but usually are using the strips and rigs designed for them. Most of the bait shops have a pretty good supply of rigs. We always run it behind a flashers, either Spin Doctor, Stinger, or Big Weenie.

Coppers usually get the most meat rigs but last year we experimented more with putting it on a wire diver and it was our best set up at times.
