Midday wednesday harvest was 162  it became clear that hunters and trappers were on pace to exceed the limit so the season closed at 10 am wednesday zones 2-5-6, 3pm zones 1-3-4.

To bad the quota is not 1119 ! 

As of 3 PM today, 76 wolves were registered with a quota of 119 allowed. Hopefully the hunters go full apesh$# today and tomorrow and get near the quota.

That's good there is in person registration. Didnt realize that. Hopefully then we have proficient hunters and trappers really bagging wolves then.

Season ends 10:00 AM Tomorrow (Wed). Just shows how many wolves we have up here.

Falsely claiming a harvest would result in a citation in short order when you fail to exhibit the carcass and pelt for in person registration by March 7th as noted in the regulations.  

I don't believe you can purchase a hunting license without a hunters education number on file.  Might not be a bad spring hearing proposal to put out there is to require one for applications to keep these non hunting jackoffs from tying up tags that could go to people who actually want them. 

Worse than applying is claiming harvest if one didnt occour to get early closure. I would think follow up would be pretty easy. Not that many just look and see who hunts in years past .

Let the wolf patrol apply.  They're not getting all 4000 tags and I would guess they're not getting a fraction of them based on other hunters that already had points in waiting. At the same time they are indirectly helping hunters by contributing money to the DNR that helps other resources.  If they harass a hunt or disturb a trapping site, turn them in.  The harassment laws are pretty harsh.  

I didnt draw a tag due to the group wolf patrol on fb wonder how many of us lost the opportunity due to them buying up application tags dont believe me its all on their fb page along with they are reimbursing anyone who buys a tag to lessen the chances of hunters obtaining them they also have video up of their member going around looking for hunters and trap sites to prevent the harvest numbers from rising call the dnr complaint line and report them our draw which is small enough the way it is was illegally tampered and unfair 1-800-847-9367 voice your thoughts to the wi dnr dont let them get away with their illegal tactics

If the season is still open after the gun deer season, try going with hounds. Maybe some hound guys will chime in here and help you guys out.
