My son shot his biggest buck in the youth hunt.  I just got the head back.  He wants a European mount and wants the skull dipped in camo pattern.  Does any have a recommendation for a taxidermist in se wi that does it?

Got my son’s mount back.  It was done a month ago but could not get up to Tomah until this weekend.  Looks great!  Son is very happy.

RA Hoffer does a great job. I had a Remington 870 dipped in a foggy skull camo pattern and it turned out awesome.

Terry's Bait Bucket in Plymouth. I think it's like $60 to have it dipped.

I would just purchase a mountain mikes reproduction kit. I have seen them and they are top notch. Cheaper than paying a taxidermist to clean the head. You can get them on amazon.

Found rahoffer.com.  They have a ton of option.  I would try it on my own but it is his biggest buck so I don’t want to mess it up.  Thanks for the advice!  I will post when we get it back.

I did my European mount last year! Taped off antlers at base buried head in garden soil up to antler bases, put mouse repellents around antlers and covered with large bucket! Let the Beatles do the work. By late spring skull was completely clean. Little bleach to disinfect and it was ready for final finish. Cost I can white spray enamel! Grandad

Congratulations to you and your son, awesome deer. West side taxidermy in West bend sends skulls out to be cleaned by beetles, a little pricey. Cleaning and dipping yourself with your son would be fun and easy.  My son shot a nice 8 pt and  I offered to have it mounted. He said no way, he wants to dip it and enter it as a fair project again. YouTube has great videos for both cleaning and dipping. Amazon has cool camouflage hydro dips to choose from. Good luck and feel free to message me if you have any questions. This was the first one he ever did.
