Lake I fish has cooled to 62 degrees surface. Gills seem to have vanished from outside weedlines and shallow. Where would you try? Lake is 43' deep and lot of water 25' and deeper.

I just caught a bunch of bluegills in 30' of water that were active enough to hit jigs with plastics. They were all within 5ft of the bottom. They showed up as clouds on the electronics and it was easy to drop a jig over the side of the boat, watch the jig on the electronics and watch the fish come up to the jig. It was like ice fishing but the fish were more agressive.

Not sure about the bluegills, but up here when the weed lines go quiet we find schools of crappies out over the basin. Very easy to see on electronics, and usually very aggressive. On the lake I fish it's common to catch them in 30' of water.

Deep structure/ cribs or try drifting over the deep water.
