John did a Fox River show last fall with Brett Jolly. They caught a bunch of really nice pike.

Timothy A doesn't musky season close on December 1st every year?  It always used to anyhow, so how would they fish muskies if the season closed?

Edit: it closes on November 30th in the Northern zone and December 31st in the southern zone, so I guess he could do a musky show or two if he wanted. Fox River walleyes is another show he could do. I'm sure he'll find some ice somewhere and fish the ice though.

I was a little surprised John said it was the last open water show of the year.  They could fish in the southern part of the state for muskies (or other fish), but all the musky guides are 715 area code guys.  He used to fish with Lee Tauchen years ago.  I bet Lee could get him on skis on the Madison Chain.  It's also interesting that John completely ignores the Madison Chain.  Tons of good fishing there.

I thought the same thing. Kind of weird to agree with you.

Looks looks like Rob cut his hand up pretty bad on that musky that Blake caught. His body language said ,he wasn't too happy.

I love John’s show. Most entertaining and educational fishing show out there.

Dibble you have to boat in from Warroad or Baudette.  It is 30 to 35 miles across water that has no protection from the wind. You want to watch the weather.

Beer Bum,  I had never thought about it like that.  I suppose it's still a faster hookset than years ago when they waited to make sure it DID get the sucker in further.  Maybe I need to wait a little longer to set the hook, we are 1 for 6 on suckers this year.

I like the musky shows.  I find the bass ones boring, but that's because I'm not into bass fishing.  But it's still fun to watch.

Is this just a way to get a week off from fishing?  They could go walleye fishing and catch enough fish for 2 shows technically.  That was my thought anyways, makes for a new show and they get the week off.  Wouldn't blame them in the least.

Ok, 2 muskie shows in a row is enough. Muskie fishing is boring and they stink like heck. Time for some real fish.
