Hey guy I just bought a GoPro Hero 3+ silver. i got a smoking deal on it from ebay. Brand new in box i paid $187 Check ebay out and hunt for the best deal , you'll find it!

Contour just came out with a new camera that looks pretty nice. They are waterproof by design so no extra case needed. They run about $200. I am still shopping as well but I think I am going to go this route.

i use a contour roam hd cam, same as go pro half the price. i use a baseball cap adapter, a surfboard mount adapter on my winshield of the boat, and i made up an adapter to mount to the poles of the ice shack in the winter. the windshield mount works great when i am trolling by myself and want to catch the action but if i am out with people i like to wear it on my cap and shoot that way. i bought mine from a camera shop online and it was less than 160.00 for the whole set up with mounts a nice case a memory card and some cleaning no scratch rags. great deal. wish i would film more but usually it ends up sitting in the case in the boat more than being used, to into the fishing and electronics sometimes and forget to hit the button to record. going to shoot some snowboarding/snowmobiling vids next winter cant wait.

My friends and I use one in the spring smallie fishing on beds. We adapted a 12' extending paint stick to fit the mount so we can put that down by the bed and then get footage of them taking the baits. Really cool to watch afterwards on how fish react.

I am interested in getting one too, but I'm trying to think of ways I can use it strictly for fishing and still justify the expense. Does anybody use any special mounts to get more advance video of fish or fishing footage?
