I am going to Fort Myers next week for some pier fishing. I have a small pile of gear stashed down there. The walleye gear will be fine for the most part. It seems that shrimp down there, is like crawlers up here. It the go to bait. Gulp shrimp seem to do well. A MUST is a gold Kastmaster, 1 oz. If you are going to be near Lady fish, a chrome/red Gotcha lure.

Make sure you rinse everything down when you are done. Salt does bad things to good equipment.

When I was down there the last 50’ of the pier was jammed with fishermen flinging large sharp baits, very dangerous! lol. I fished in the bridge and only saw rays. I also fished the fast water with no results. In the 3 hrs that I fished the area ( from shore or pier) I never saw a fish caught. CARPIO

Trying to get sum info coming down in march need to catch sum bait for trip looking to catch sum rays near sebastian inlet any tips?

I'm down here now. Did Marco Island yesterday, Tigerpaw Beach. Irma did a good job down here. Roofers are the new millionaires... Surprised my mom for her 75th b-day. She was really surprised when I walked in the door un announced. Head home tomorrow...
