Hello all,

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding a company or individuals who are willing to donate fishing gear for urban middle and high school students learning how to fish?  I work at an alternative school in Racine County and we have a program where some of our teachers take students fishing. Often, it is their first time and the joy and sense of accomplishment experienced is amazing. We are just looking to provide inexpensive rod/reel combos and tackle. Please send me a message if you know of sources as we would like to expand our program. It truly is cool to see our youth experience what nature has to offer!

Thank you so much!

Rob K.

Check with local fishing clubs, they are usually more than happy to donate equipment. The musky club I belong to sponsors a local high school. We've donated rods, reels and lures and many members have offered to take the students fishing.
