It's been posted before, but this one broke the line on the ultralight my older nephew was using after a lengthy battle. A few minutes later while casting a Mepps in the same spot I hooked up and gave the rod to my younger nephew (and had to hold on to him and the rod lol) to bring in, and it still had the jig in its lip!
Nice fish budman! Love the tiger…. Looks like you are doing ok, keep the pics coming guys, beats the heck out of working…. Plan to get the boat out of retirement this year, lol
I was cleaning up/changing up some of my office big fish pics and this one stood out to me. It was the first musky (and fish) I caught out of my current 17.5 ft Lund shortly after I purchased the boat new several years ago.
It was a nice 47" Vilas County musky on opening weekend (Memorial weekend). I took the pic myself with a tripod set up and self-timer.
Great thread. I fish ALOT but 95% by myself so I have very few pics of myself with nice fish, which doesn't bother me. My most cherished fishing pics are from when I was a kid or when my dad is out with me. Taking him out tommorow hope I can get some pics of him with a few nice fish.
I was flipping through some of my musky photo albums and came across this one from 1996. For its length, it was the widest and girthiest musky I have ever caught. It was a near 30 lb. class fish then. I would have liked to have caught her at 50 inches. It would have been a bonafide 40 lb'er at that length. It reminded me of the Joe Bucher/Les Solberg "Refrigerator Musky" from 1985.
A few years ago, my BIL and I went to Key West and did some deep sea fishing. Pic of a nice sized mutton snapper I caught 295 ft down next to a wreck on the ocean floor. The fish weighed about 17 lbs. but fought harder than most of the big muskies I've ever caught.
