American made is that always what it used to be. I recently purchased 2 fishing rods which were made in Wisconsin we all know who that is. I built many of custom rods and there is a thing called a spine you must keep the rod guides lined up with the spine. I would not usually even think of checking for this on such a quality fishing rod but when I got home the $ 340 rods we're junk. I took two rods back to where I purchased them and while I was there I thought I'd go and check the rods on the rack. I found one out of 15 rods that was made correctly. Keeping the rod guides on back or bottom or the spine depending on what kind of real you use is one of the most important things that needs to be done when Rod building. Very disappointed in this American made product. A lot of people do not know about rods spine alignment. Google Rod spine and you will see how important this is.
