Ever since Little Red Riding Hood... Ha!

Personally, I have no use for wolves (nor coyotes).  My thought process on wildlife is something like: just because, for instance, we have sea lampreys and snakeheads in the circle of life, doesn't mean we need to have them in all our lakes and rivers...  Although there are likely wingnuts running around that think they are pretty great too.  Too each their own.

2-10-22 Federal Judge just closed all wolf hunting across most of the USA again! Clueless Judge in Montana.

BS reporting, the state DNR goal was 200, with Native Americans claiming 81 of them. In such no goal has been exceeded, just proportioned differently.

Also, had the state proceeded with their obligations 7 weeks ago this wouldn't have been such a condensed season making quota management as difficult.

Stuck , the legislature passed a law a few years ago saying any season had to be done by end of February  (paraphrased) . In case it was ever legalized by Fed's.

Stuck, from watching the NRB meeting, my take is that there will also be a fall season unless halted by the courts.

Ground too hard to bed traps, no baiting allowed, and this forced season likely means no fall season when animals could be harvested much easier. DNR’s way of saying FU for forcing their hand?

Hockey Guy I believe the kill tag is $49.
Phat 4000 tags will be issued and there trying to reach a quota of 200. Season would close when they reach that #.  Very short season and being  winter I’m not sure how effective trapping will be.

Anyone apply for a wolf tag yet?  I submitted an application just for the heck of it. Anyone know what a harvest tag will run?  Can't seem to find anything on it.
