Just wondering what every one does during the day and evening? Work? Play? Fish? Camping? Gardening? Smoking? You get the idea........ I work up early to put the venison jerky in the dehydrator and took the fiancé to work and then when I got home I made breakfast. I fixed the bath sink and took a nap. Then I sat around having a few beers waiting for the jerky to get done. Tried to read a book but that's not for me. Oh yea, I cut the lawn b4 the rain. I better save sum stuff 4 2maro. Just wondering what you guys do during the day and evening. Let's here it.

Drove up to Madison to get a hormone shot for my C just starting this treatment today. Then stopped at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Portage on the way home. Was at the hospital for 4 hours that sucked. Oh well keeps me kicking!

Got home from work, hooked up the small boat, grabbed a musky rod, one particular Plano 3700 full of select musky lures, and headed out for "an hour or two."  Literally 5 casts into the evening and I stuck a solid, chunky one.  As I got it to the boat, I could see it had one hook close to an eye, so I elected not to net it at all and have it thrash.  Rather, I coaxed it alongside the boat and popped it off quick and sent it on its way with no pics.  20 minutes later, I hooked another one, somehow losing it part way back to the boat.  Fished for another 45 minutes with no action, trying 3 other lures.  Talked to 2 other fisherman at the landing for a while, gassed up the boat on the way home, now repairing the lacerations in the one lure that got shredded this evening.

Stopped at Menards in Rhinelander. It was very busy at 11am. Can't imagine what it is like on a Saturday! Ate lunch at Town Pump bar and grill and had a delicious Reuben. I think Rhinelander has the states largest Walmart. Anyway, I got my steps in. Drove through Eagle River. Everyone drives in the right hand lane. Kept thinking that I was doing something wrong. Went to St. Germain flea market. Somewhat disappointed. It seemed like half the vendors weren't there. Maybe it's too early in the year, or the price of gas!

Queenie looks like a great boat, Ice Queen.  You will have loads of fun in that. Was out last night in yak on a carry in only access lake. Long drag with wheels, but it was worth it

This is now yesterday.  But I drove my son up to a Scout Camp near Rice Lake yesterday.  Since it was a 4 hour drive I decided to do some fishing before heading home. Fish fished one of the lakes at the Scout camp and caught some descent bluegill as well as some bass (including a few on topwater).  Then went into Rice Lake and fished a spot a friend of mine recommended to me.  Caught over 100 of these smallish size crappie in a little over 2 hours! Brought in several doubles on the tandem tied jigs!  Few people fishing there were using worms and not catching anything so I gave them one of my crappie scrubs.  Hope they did well after I left!

Pic of the tow home :)

I don't feel like tinkering with the carburetor, so I'll take it in I think!

IQ, Yak fishing is really fun!  You feel at one with the water, and you can sneak into places without making a noise.

Went fishing today.  My 15 hp Yami bogged out on me today.  Seems like a piece of debris in the carb.  Lucky my neighbor / close bud was out fishing too.

He towed me in, and we went fishing for the rest of the day in his Jon Boat.  So glad he was out on the river today.

We caught 3 eyes (12-16), 2 kitties, more Rockies and gills than we cared to count, warmouth, yellow bass, sm bass, Crappie, and 1 LM bass.

I love summer!  So glad it's just beginning!

Started day with our normal two mile walk with the yellow lab. Dropped house key from my pocket so started the look again and fortunately it was in the first 20@ feet from home. Washed the wife’s Highlander. Then we took a 13 mile bike ride. Stopped for her to get her 2nd dose of shingles vax along the way. Then got coffee. Came home and cleaned out maple seeds and willow leaves from gutters. Went to bike store to get a brake cable as wife broke rear brake cable on the ride. Then went to Beloit to get gas in flyer car as Woodman’s was a full $1 per gallon less than here in Roscoe,IL.

9 hours of miscellaneous things around the house. First weekend home in almost 2 months, sure feels good to get caught up. Enjoying a store pick of Buffalo Trace, watching the garden sprinkler and listening to Hardy "Luckiest Man Alive". Great day.
