What Did You Do Today?

Just wondering what every one does during the day and evening? Work? Play? Fish? Camping? Gardening? Smoking? You get the idea........ I work up early to put the venison jerky in the dehydrator and took the fiancé to work and then when I got home I made breakfast. I fixed the bath sink and took a nap. Then I sat around having a few beers waiting for the jerky to get done. Tried to read a book but that's not for me. Oh yea, I cut the lawn b4 the rain. I better save sum stuff 4 2maro. Just wondering what you guys do during the day and evening. Let's here it.

Glimmer, You might want to try drop shot rigs for areas that are high snags. After losing hundreds of jigs, the drop shot is the way to go 

Nice to score some good baits cheap, Bud.
Then you can use em without fear of losing em. 
I know I mite catch more fish by the dams I fish with artificials , but seldom use em cause lose so many. Slip bobber, jig, lindy rig. 

Just went thru some fishing items picked at the flea market yesterday. Lot of sellers with fishing stuff but one guy had a truck load of  fishing rod and reels from a family member that had passed away. He is bringing another full  truck load next week.  $140 bucks for this and a bunch more.

Thank you Glimmertwin!! Yes my hubby took me fishing this weekend for “cat” mommy day. We did “rent” a kid just kidding, we took my coworker 16-year-old daughter out musky fishing again yesterday.  She is definitely hooked for life. She lost a small one on the figure 8. I said that’s just practice for the big one that you’re not gonna lose.  And she also made the comment. Don’t tell my dad I think I like musky fishing better than walleye fishing that absolutely melted my heart.!!!

Had 4 generations over for a Mother’s Day cookout and I am beat.lol.    

Took the wifes mother,  her  and sonny number three to breakfast this morning.  Then put the flags up on her pier, the wifes step-dad passed earlier this year. He was a Nam vet, if you met him you'd wish you knew 10 more like him. He never talked about it,  reminded me of my own father.

So far today I got out of bed and working on my first cup of coffee and surfing lake link.

Took the grandkids fishing in Oconomowoc. They have only been fishing a few other times. Their laughter and excitement melted my heart!

Took my boat in to MW Marine where I always have bought my boats. Great place fantastic service today put in two trolling motor batteries for me at cost and did not even charge me for the labor for putting them in.  Best place to buy a boat. 

Took in my Daughters community play in Waukesha last nite. Out for drinks, food after.
Took her & beau to lunch today, he just bought a house they are moving into soon. Stopped to see it , was impressed. On way back up North stopped in Sun Praire to do Mothers day early with my Ma. Out to dinner with her. All went well and will hopefully be able to wet line tomorrow after Church.

Attended the funeral of a friend this afternoon. This evening went and chased some fish on the river donating plenty of blood to those thirsty mosquitoes. Just got done cleaning some walleyes that will be released into hot oil in the near future. Looking like a piece of smoked fish and a few slices of venison sausage washed down with a tall 7N7 will be my supper. Maybe a trip around the county block to see if there is any light show tonight. 

Stacked another full cord of firewood and went fishing and the crappie didn't disappoint great day in the northwoods!
