Happy Anniversary Fishhook !!! Fishing honeymoon, Awesome. I can't beat that for a honeymoon but I came close. Wife and I went on a snowmobile weekend with a snowmobile club that we just joined. It was in a big house with ten beds in one big room with a small secluded bedroom that the wife and I were put in by the other club members. They even put one of those paper bells hanging from the ceiling light. Got married the same year as you. 1995. Congrats to you.
My wife,& I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary yesterday with a delicious dinner at Rivers Bend supper club last night.
Then in August we take our annual trip to fish an outpost camp in Ontario, for 10 days.
This is our 32nd year fishing at this outpost camp. So yes, that is where we took our honeymoon, June of 1995,and have been going back there ever since!
As you can see, our honeymoon wasn't the most romantic, but it sure was amazing fishing,& celebrating with family,& friends in a remote outpost fishing camp.

Eyesman...I was conceived 46 years ago, lol! My parents celebrated 53 years of marriage back in August. We did have a celebration with them for their 50th, and their 40th we had a birthday/wedding anniversary party at my brother's house. Gosh, I got a long way to go til I get that many years! I've been married 16 years now. If anyone tells you being married is easy, they're lying!
Mrs. and I celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary this past Monday. We took a road trip to see friends who moved 2 hours away a year ago. Hadn’t seen them since they moved. Spent the night at their home and went the next day to Lake Superior at Munising to do the Pictured Rock boat tour. Something on the wife’s bucket list. A good day for that as the lake was near flat calm. It was a trip worth taking. Spent the rest of the day making the 6 hour drive home taking in plenty of scenery along 30 miles of Superior shoreline and plenty of prime fall colors that were at peak.
My wife and I just celebrated our 50th last month. We’ve really never had much in the way of discretionary money to buy gifts with but I decided that it was necessary after 50 years. I stopped at a lingerie shop. The lady there showed me a few tiny little things almost see through. I picked a really really sheer thingy for 500 bucks. This would tell her how much I care and that she still has IT right. When I gave it to her I knew I had to tell her how much it cost because she has always handled the checkbook and credit cards. She took it into the bathroom that night to put it on. It was so sheer and so small that she immediately decided to return it and spend the money on something practical. She figured naked was about the same thing as wearing this but didn’t tell me that. I made the mistake of saying “ For 500 Bucks I would have thought they would have ironed that thing!”. Oops
