Who's got one ? what are you growing ? and how's it coming along? Mine consists of sweet corn , cabbage , brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli ,cucumbers, zucchini, peas, tomatoes , peppers , acorn squash, pumpkins, and assorted spices. The cold wet weather hasn't been very conducive to good growth so far for me. But with warmer weather in the forecast things should turn out. I hope those of you growing fair better.

Junkie, I did Zinnias and marigolds from seed this year as well as a packet that was listed as a "wildflower mix." It had some Zinnias in it too, and then some tallish, skinny flowers that stayed nice and tall and skinny standing upright until I put them outside, then they fell over! Why they can survive standing straight up when a fan is blowing on them but not mother nature beats the heck out of me! I think there's also some daisies and bachelor buttons in the mix? Not sure though. Some are perennials and others are annuals in the mix. I also bought some petunias and pansies for some more color. I had ZERO survival rate on both of those plants from seed this year! But the Zinnias and Marigolds look great. Some of the Zinnias are starting to flower, but they'll grow twice as big outside and continue to flower until the first frost kills them! I love Zinnias! I bought a flower bed for my daughter a few years ago and I just spread seeds in that and let them grow. Squirrels love to jump off the pine trees and land in there and dig though, so not many end up making it! Stupid squirrels!
FLM - do you prestart your zinnias inside in spring? Do you have any annual flowers you grow that you can direct seed into the ground? I envy all the gardens with flowers in them. I did plant some sunflowers this weekend, but they won't flower until September.
PS - check those potatoes for potato bugs, mine showed up in full force this weekend. Neem oil and hand picking does the trick.

I finally have all 4 of my gardens planted and the flowers I place around 2 of them. Some of the flowers did not look good when I was planting them. I waited too long on some of the flowers I bought 3ish weeks ago and they were extremely root balled. They might perk back and if not, it's just flowers! I have over 50 of them planted so the bees will find something they like! Only flowers I have left to plant now are zinnias and a few perennials that are finally big enough to plant. Perennials take quite a while to get bigger!
More strawberries and mint!
Mint water is crazy good for your gut!

I planted the last of my onion sets and some herbs today. Everything else seems to be doing good. Cherry tomatoes are starting to get some fruit and they are all looking really good. I have been pinching flowers off the tomatoes and peppers since I planted them a couple weeks ago. Think I might stop on the bigger plants soon.
Yeah, I have psycho squirrels that dig up plants every year. So I always have 1 backup for each variety. If I don't need them, I give them to family or friends. Also chipmunks like to eat my newly sprouted green beans. I plant twice as much as I need and thin them out.
Threw up some tomato cages for the higher growing varieties today. Sometimes they get 9 ft tall

My problem again is with squirrels. They come up on my patio and dig in the tomato plants. I tried planting flower bulbs but they dug them up and ate them. I do have a squirrel that’s a friend though, some kind of small red one that chases the greys out of the yard and doesn’t dig. It’s really fast and fidgety.
