Time to talk BREWERS!!!!
I agree Dude. You have to play the player that gives you the best chance of winning, regardless of salary. And that would of been keeping Santana, and starting him over Braun. And also, Braun can play 1st base. He could be playing of Aguilar there right now.
I didn't understand it when it happened, and I'm still scratching my head. Domingo Santana for Matt Gamel and a minor league pitcher. That pitcher better turn into something or that was a very stupid trade. We have seen Braun's production and playing time decrease significantly in the last few years. Two years ago Santana was the best offensive player on the team and last year seemed to get things righted in the last couple months.
I don't care what Braun makes, he is nothing more than a 4th outfielder at this time (and maybe back up 1st baseman). Think of what this offense would look like with a starting outfield of Santana, Cain and Yelich.
Problem with Jesus is he's out of options, so the Crew either lives with him or waives him. They'd have to eat right around 650K for that. I'm hoping he finds a way to adjust, but he's not showing signs of it since the AS break last year
I'm really not to concerned its early and the schedule has mainly been the Dodgers and Cardnials. Too tough cookies, hitting & pitching hasn't clicked together yet. Defense has been solid, team is not beating itself. Way too early to give up on anyone player. Long ball has burned Hadar twice this series, that's going to happen time to time. Hopefully can get a couple in St. Louis. Go Brewers !!
