44/45 - Lots of mushroom's in the north woods. I took a mushroom class up there in 2019 and it was the best $70 I spent all year.

clueless, WOW! Thanks man! We (already) started bringing in our bird feeders two days (nights) ago. Figured with the (early) nice weather they'd be waking up soon...Appreciate the posting...

We just had our first bear this year try to get bird feeders. At first light he was shaking the pole causing the feeders to sound like a wind chime. The dogs began barking. Got to watch him for about 5 minutes before he wandered off.

Anyone ever pick mushrooms in the north woods? Do they exist up there? Something I have never done but am interested now that I have more time.

Some good rain last night. The grass is really greening up with the daytime sunshine!

It was reported in Oconto Co. that there were up to 70 power poles snapped from Tuesdays storm. My lights in the northern part flickered all day long, but I never lost power.

Generally 6 to 10 inches I think-depending on where you were in Oneida/Vilas county.

Going to warm up soon. But what a last three weeks we’ve had! Lots of snow. Cold. Ice. Wind. Been winter for sure.

Thanks setterjack! I’ve heard. Will have to try it in the open water. We did get one nice one yesterday. I think SMB has a C and R season now in Michigan, but really rare to get one through the ice.

Just got back I definitely think it is living in the culvert. I checked both sides, of the highway, and it looks like it comes out and walks around close to the pipe about ten to twenty feet, then goes back in. I didnt see any tracks that looked like it just was passing through or left. We have only had snow since monday so that tells me thats home.Washburn county, Stone Lake
