You hit on your two first round picks in this draft. And you look at trading others on the roster, or recently acquired to get even more picks.
This isn't tough.
Bucks are assembling a roster full of young players right now.
They could, in theory, still trade Hero, Kuzma (though I don't know who in their right mind would want him), or even Turner. Even Green, Rollins or KPJ.
They have options and they have youth.
I don't know how possible it is, but they could trade one of their 1's this year, and Hero to move up and get in the top three coveted spots.

How do they rebuild with 0 draft picks in 27, 1 in 28 and 0 in 29? The next 3 years will be on re-treads unless they hit the jackpot twice this week. The only hope is to flip some of the guys they have into future picks and one or 2 of the guys they keep blossom. Horst should definitely get canned for all his screw-ups, but now Jimmy is running the show.
Agree about the comments on Haslem and past drafts from Horst. Remember this is also the same group that hired Griffin as a coach and once they realized the mistake, compounded it by bringing in Doc Rivers.
Will always appreciate what Giannis did for the Bucks and the city of Milwaukee. Agree with Vegas about comparing his 'GM role" to #12. Also did not like the mixed messages he and his team kept putting out there. Bucks should have made this move last year and avoided the Myles Turner error and spreading out Lillard's contract.. While this is a deep draft it still would be a lot better to have just tanked this year and get a top-5 pick. Also agree we should just move Herro and keep getting younger and take our lumps the next few years.
On to the rebuild !!!

I read something about a disaster.
To me, the disaster was not being able to get by Toronto years before winning the Title.
Then the disaster was Giannis lobbying for Middleton to sign a mega deal, despite being old, slow and injured.
The next disaster was trading assets for the old Lillard.
It's like they compounded mistakes.
Giannis to me is like Rodgers for the Packers. Elite player. Horrible GM.

I think they are going to move Hero, too. Bucks wants picks and young players. Hero is in the last year of his deal.
It should be a full youth movement.
The trade reporting really doesn't do it justice.
Kel'el Ware was a 15'th overall pick. 7 footer who made all rookie second team in 2025.
Hero was a 13'th overall pick. All Rookie NBA second team in 2020. Won the 6'th man award in 2021.
Jamie Jaquez Jr was the 18'th overall pick.
Jakucionis was the 20'th overall pick.
Giannis and Porter for 7 first round picks is a way of looking at it.
I still think Hero will be moved. So will Kuzma. The piece I like best that should play is Jakucionis.

What a disaster for the Bucks. It started when Haslem bought into the Bucks! Now they have sold off the best since Kareem, and to throw in Portis for what! Herro is the guy to build around, fill the seats and compete, not on your life!
Season ticket sales will PLUNGE, guess we are in the tank for the next 50 years!
I feel bad for Jenkins, he will be on the block trying to configure a winner with sub par players.
As far as the Heat, now they have 2 to build on, lets see them move quickly to the top and soar.
Bucks, well they will just SUCK just like Haslem's Browns!

Considering the age and wear/tear on Giannis given how he plays....this was a great return.
I'd have more faith in a rebuild if Horst is not making the picks in the draft, or orchestrating more trades.
I do wish Giannis well. Great person, great player. But a full reset was really needed.
As an extra added bonus, we also moved Portis. Again, great guy, good player. But the game now is all about speed, and dude is slow.

I wonder what the market will be like for Giannis. He’s had quite a few injuries. And you don’t need a superstar to win these days. Fast athletic hungry young players seem to be more of the formula right now.
Sometimes, adding a player that needs so many touches, can actually hurt an offfensive flow. I’m sure the Bucks will get a good return. But the market might not be what they think it should be.
