Seen 2 in Paddock Lake on my shed this afternoon, flew under the boat where there isn't any snow. Better have a good beak if their going to find worms

Also, had a solo sand hill crane do a flyover

Robins in winter wiscosnin is quite typical. Even in the brutal winter 2 years ago I had a couple robins and a bluebird overwinter. Birds are hardy, they just need food and adequate shelter. Water helps but is obviously quite scarce in the winter. Not sure how they manage without open water.

Seen a flock of about 30 last Friday in southern Washington county, had to get the binoc's out to verify what I was seeing, hope they were heading south!

I couldn't get my eyes on them, but last Sunday I heard several robins here in central MN. No idea what they're doing here. Spring is at least two months away. Lows from 0 to -15 the next week or so.

I saw one last Monday and two on Tuesday in Ozaukee Co. They were near the west side of the Milwaukee river north of Grafton, I thought it was strange but cds post makes it clear.

pike eyes, that's another old wives tale that can be added to the other thread. I've heard it as well.
