Sswpriz sorry for your loss, and condolences to your girlfriend.  Even though dogs are only part of our life and we are their entire world we need to remember how lucky we are to have them for however long they are around.

I'm very sorry Sswpriz please give my condolences to your girlfriend. The other pup will certainly need  lots of attention. It's rough on all of you.

Not my dog, but my girlfriend had 2 Cavachon's, Mocha and Latte, both 14.5 years old, brother and sister. Unfortunately she had to let Latte go yesterday, fluid around the lungs, congestive heart failure. 
So hard, ive only known them for 6.5 years, but you still get attached.
Mocha, the male is still going like he's a puppy, but you could tell he sensed something wasn't quite right in the world,I think they know more than we give them credit for....RIP Latte

So sorry for your loss John. I have a chocolate and a black lab. Brothers from black lab father and chocolate lab mother. I try to do as much with them as I can. They are nearly 5 and I try not to think about the inevitable. It's never easy to see 'em go. Peace brother....

I hate seeing this thread come up like everyone else.Very sorry to hear of both your dogs passing. It hurts as much as family or friend passing whether it should or not.

Sorry to hear about Roy Pool. I know what he meant to you. ​Give Hank a good hug. I'm sure he is hurting too.
