Tales from grandparents, old weather tales, farming tales, childhood ones, fishing tales, etc. Maybe where they came from and if you find them to be true or not. Like of course seeing robins are a sign of spring. Or if your ears are ringing someone is thinking of you. And if you put a bucket out while its raining it will stop.

I've had several people tell me the reason you don't catch many pike during January is they lose all their teeth. I just LOVE that one.

I have hear a lot of these, but here's a few more...

When the cows are all standing, fish are biting.

Version I always heard was eating fish was good for your night vision.

For me fish always bite when ZZ Top is on the radio. It's true.

Bigger baits catch bigger fish. This one is true.

Step on a crack, break your mother's back.

If you spill beer you have to go to church. It's a sin.

If it can go wrong, it will go wrong. Murphy's law applies to fishing more than anything.

Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

Big flake, little snow. Little flake, big snow.
