I nay be wrong SM ,but i think that glow or "aura " is due to "ice crystals" just my guess.

A few cell phone full moon pics from earlier this evening. The moon was surrounded by a rainbow colored halo as it was shining though some very thin clouds. 

Moo over Lk. Mich from my bedroom window... my eagle still has a snow cap on.

This is considerd dec full moon is called the  full cold moon yes i saw it at 515 this morning  and it was clod out !

You inspired me to get up early and get a couple pics of 2025's last super moon.  Today, just before 5 am in the western sky.
