Hi, I just recently purchased a Humminbird 859ci HD combo (Ipiot link compatible) and am hoping to set up the new Ipilot Link onto it. I have an 80 lb minnekota terrova also. But my question is, how do I install the Ethernet cable to the back of my unit if I have the hourglass Ethernet port (shown below), and not the round Ethernet port? Mostly all of the people I have asked could not help me, and I have called hummingbird but I barely know what they are saying half of the time. Hopefully, other fellow lake-linkers have had this experience and would help me out. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I have a Minn Kota Power Drive V2 and bought the I-Pilot Link GPS trolling system. Installed it and connected it my Hummingbird 998c GPS fishing system locater. On my last outing, I recorded a track and stored it. Went to follow that track, and it worked well. However, once I canceled it to stop following the track, I tried to steer the trolling motor manually with the remote. At that instant the motor head started spinning in circles wrapping up the cables. I had to race to the front of the boat and unplug the power. What did I do wrong? Does anyone else experience this?

I just bought the whole Terrova US2 iPilot link with that same locator and the Cabellas guy said this year they changed the plug in port design, so any older locator will not plug in without some sort of adapter. I had thought about linking the new locator and the one I got last year, but they said I'd need some sort of router deal, so I din't pursue it. I'd go to the place where you bought the Terrova or just call Cabellas and I'm sure either one could hook you up with the right adapter/router. I think it's pretty dumb to be changing the ports like that, oh well, I guess that's progress.
