What's everyone's go to movie to get them ready for deer season? The past 10 or so years watching Escanaba in Da Moonlight raises the already much anticipated excitement for deer camp. The movie does a great job of focusing on the deer camp tradition that makes gun hunting so special. Good luck this weekend everyone!
Sorry FullDraw, I couldn't resist......
a tradition of watching The Big Lebowski every year
Far out, man!
If we watch a movie, it is always Grumpy Old Men. I think it just because the timeline is Thanksgiving to X-mas time.
LOL to Wicasa.. i guess the part that sticks with me is the simplicity of driving up to and arriving at Deer Camp.. it's just one of those feelings that never gets old. Followed by the substantial amount of beverages and cards to follow.

I don't watch any movies to get excited about deer camp but we do have a tradition of watching The Big Lebowski every year at the cabin.

Which tradition makes it so special for you? The Bear Walk or the two-holer?
Ghost and the darkness
LOL I am going to say Deliverance also.
Anyone remember the movie The Deerhunter in the late 70s
I dont deer hunt - but the one movie that we always watched on fishing trips was "A River Runs Through It" Someone thought it would be funny to watch Deliverance one year, maybe you could add that to your tradition.
