You know, for us poor displaced Cheeseheads who can't catch walleyes and muskies every day...

One more sailfish pic.  I have more than I have patience to post.

Guatemala was awesome.  Tuna fishing off North Carolina yesterday was awesome.  Time for some solid fresh water now.

Just purchased a house with a small piece of canal frontage in OBX, 20 miles by boat to Oregon Inlet.  Stuff's getting real!

“I'm in. We depart MKE?”

You can.  I live in NC.  We can coordinate travel so we all get there at roughly the same time.   I don’t mind hanging out at the airport bar for a bit.  PM me your contact info.

Hey Mountain Dave, That sure looks like a fly rod on the man's link. What a fight that would be!

I'm putting together a Guatemala trip in January 2023 and I need 2-3 more people to go.  The sailfish bite is crazy good at that time of year; like the best in the world kinda good.  15-20 fish average per day.  The dates are fly out the 14th and fly back the 19th, so 5 nights stay and 4 days of fishing on a 31' Bertram.  All for only a little over $3000 plus your airfare.  A $2000 deposit locks you in (I've already paid mine so the dates are set), with the rest due upon arrival in Guatemala.  The resort will pick us up at the airport and it is all-inclusive with meals provided and a serve yourself bar.

Check it out at: http://www.bigbuoyfishing.com/

There is a video on there where some clients got 157 pacific sailfish in 3 days right around the same time of year in 2017.

PM me if interested in going.

Ha!   If I were to mount a wahoo it’d have to be pushing 100 lbs.   this one was maybe 30.   They sure are pretty when they are all lit up though, which is why I had this pic taken right after we gaffed it.

This wahoo came in hot, going fully airborne over our wake before it crushed the port side short outrigger line.   Salt water fish are so cool.
