We purchased our Dodge Grand Caravan new in 2021.  This week while getting an oil change it was discovered that the transmission fluid is leaking, and we were down a quart.  It's under 60000 miles and six years so it should be covered on the powertrain warranty.  So, we call our friendly Dodge dealer and find out it was built in Canada and no warranty in the states.  WTF!  Didn't read the fine print but really.

Fortunately, we took out an extended warranty, and it should be covered, we'll find out in a few weeks.

I will never go to that dealer again and highly doubt I'll ever get another FCA product.

Snakester I hope your knee op goes well and you heal right and quick.  Have to stay mobile at our age.  Prayers coming for you.

Yes the thing with internet is that there is so much more you can do with it.  Music, news, reading, order stuff, research everything, make money in the markets, get directions to anywhere, pay bills. incredible for $60 a month.

Skip guy #1, Wisco. Trust your instincts.  You've been around long enough to know better.  Sorry about the rotator cuff. I've had 3 major tears, right arm twice, left one once but not too bad. Im anti-surgery, so just used the one good arm. Learned to be ambidextrous till the right side  ones healed up. Couldn't even hold my arm above my head to wash the armpit in shower. Had hired help to get through those till I healed up naturally.  Still going strong at 67 years old.

You“Get Em” RC! ⚡️👈 I feel the same way, but drop the money anyway. (Thank god that’s one of the wife’s bills) lol We’re internet only, which is great once ya learn how to use all of its abilities. Wife’s an Apple Tech so if I can’t figure it out, she can. You do listen to music more than I have been lately, which I miss for sure. Starting to listen to more as days get longer. Knee Replacement Friday morning, so I’ll have a lot of time soon. You get em RC!😜
Knee Replacement was my gripe, but happy to get it done. Lol 😂

I havent paid for any tv since 1988 when they jerked me from $9 to $12 a month.   Anytime I go to a friends house and watch their high dollar TV I find it mostly boring and silly.
I do have a tv 25 channels over the air its free$$ dont watch it much, some news some sports some fishing more Bugs Bunny and Beverly Hillbilllies than anything and not even much of that.  Now where I really become a Get Off My Lawn guy is when the internet companies F with me.

I have DirecTV and for many years have watched the outdoor programs on any Saturday mornings that I am not out fishing.  I am extremely disappointed that I am no longer able to watch Water and Woods, Larry Smith, Midwest Outdoors, etc. on satellite.  I understand that each of these programs are available through other sources, such as Youtube TV.   But I am old school (or just old?) and do not like having to go through streaming services to access these programs.  Plus, when I watched these programs on DirecTV, I was able to easily switch back and forth between these programs and something else that I may be watching, which I cannot do if I watch through streaming services.  This really bothers me.  Is anybody else as upset about this as I am, or am I just becoming the "Get off my lawn!" guy?

Trying to pull up weather radar up north is a real chore now. It's certainly changed. I just got home and need a shower etc, but could list off a few things that aren't better. Bs

Is anyone else here having troubles with T Mobile after they bought US Cell and converted your service over?  My experience has been horrendous.  I had very few issues with US Cell but it has been a nonstop nightmare with T Mobile.  On top of that, they route you through an AI automated system instead of letting you speak to a human if you call and that's a real joy to behold.  Unfortunately some poor unsuspecting kid is going to get an earful at the local T Mobile store once I drop by.  But, hey, it's the T-Life and it's super!  What BS.

If you want to try them in the store before you by the rod this is the procedure for testing the spline

To find the spine—the natural, stiffest bending axis of a fishing rod—place the rod tip against a smooth surface at a 30° to 45° angle. Apply downward pressure in the middle and slowly roll the blank in your hands until it naturally "pops" into a curve.

About 4 years ago I bought three St Croix Rods from a big box store. I should have checked before I left but who would think that the spline would not be off on a quality rod. I used to build rods in my younger days I have a rod building machine the whole works and the spline is the very first thing and the most important thing to get straight. I took them back the next day and never bought another Saint Croix.

The spine (often spelled spline) is the natural line of resistance along a fishing rod blank where the graphite or fiberglass overlaps during manufacturing, making that side slightly thicker and stiffer.
Rod builders locate this spine to position the guides correctly. Aligning the guides with the spine ensures the rod bends straight under pressure, maximizing casting accuracy and lifting power while preventing the rod from twisting in your hand.

Broke tips on 2 Loomis IMX rods. 1 was only 1 1/2” from the tip so I just re-tipped it. The other was a short light spinning rod that broke almost in half with a big bass hooked. Then the 6 lb line broke and half that rod went in. Originally $195 way back in early 2000’s. They gave me a $390 replacement rod for $140 (a year ago) since they no longer made “my” rod.

FC,
I've had similar experiences with St, Croix in that I've broken 3 tips.  Of course they replaced them for free, but they just don't seem to make things quite as durable as they used to!

The only rods that I own that have not broken on me are Fenwick.

Im kinda a river rat of sorts, and my rods bounce around in a Jon boat, so perhaps I'm just rough on them.

Anyone else have G Loomis rods that the tips snap/break.  I have a GCX LITE 7' 6" and twice now the tip has snapped between the 3-4th eyelet.  First time happened liftin a crappie and this morning it happened in the same place while threading line through last eye let and pulling out drag.
