To me? We are in base between 5-9% of the time. You can make any body type work.
In regards to LVN? If this year goes like last year, he's going to get plenty of looks at IDL. Hand in the dirt. Passing downs.
If I'm sitting in a 3/4, I want my two OLB's to be about 250-255 pounds. I want my two DE's to be about 275-285. I want my NT to be 330.
But again, we are in that so rarely that it doesn't much matter.
Very excited about DDS. So excited that I'm already prepared to be disappointed in how the coaching staff uses him.
Also disappointed that Oliver started the OTA's in the rehab unit. That kid has great bend and take off.

NFL is likely investigating as well as the authorities. I take it as a good sign that he's out there working. I feel like there's a lot to that story that we are not being told about right now. Gotta figure there are a lot of cameras in that neighborhood and from the little I read, it sounds like Jacobs' attorney's have a lot of film showing what really happened.
And let's hope it leads to a good result for Jacobs, just from a football point of view. The last thing we want to do is rely on Lloyd. He was already kept out of an OTA for "precautionary" reasons. Doesn't help that Martinez was rehabbing as well.

Doesn't much matter, base 4/3 or 3/4. We have been and will continue to be in nickel for most of the game.
That being said, Gannon prefers the 4-3 and that kind of body. He also loves versatility which is why they re-upped LVN as he can play DL, DE and EDGE. And they drafted McClellin as he can play anywhere on the line effectively with his body type. Even Hargrave can play either IDL spots effectively.

Geriatrics come in to kill drives, as they know how to rise to the occasion. Kids take the other reps.
Geriatrics take one year deals and do not stunt young growth, they add to it with experience.
If it's third or fourth and long in the fourth quarter, sign me up for Parsons, Miller/Jordan/Bosa, Wyatt and LVN rushing. One gets doubled (Micah). All others are 1:1. I like them odds.

They just traded away a guy that took 3 business days to get off the ball in gary, and now we are talking about bringing in these fossils? Either get Sweat(who cares if its a 3rd round pick, fck them picks, and the salary cap isn't real), especially if you think you're in your Super Bowl window. Or, dont trade for Sweat, and let some of these young guys with some juice get some reps before bringing in geriatrics.
I feel like Bosa wants $12M. Haven't heard on Miller.
I'd take either one of them at 10-12M as opposed to trading a pick or two for Sweat (AZ). Sweat has about $44M salary left for the next 3 years. 10, 17, 17. And I'll bet Sweat would want a new deal if/when traded.
I like Sweat better, if AZ can eat some of that and we can get him for a 4'th rounder.
But really, I'd take Miller, Bosa or Jordan 10-12M for one year and tell them that I want them for pass downs only, and I want 20 drive killing plays this year. Sacks, hurries, pressures....etc. 20 impact plays. Hopefully more, but 20 would be what I'm looking for.
