Snake,  I'm not sure what has changed here in the US regarding refinery capacity in the last 7 months. Did he provide any insight?  Everything I have read is that "international conflict" has created a global refinery capacity shortage.  I guess in that respect he's not wrong if he said it's a refinery issue.

i seen an interview with the Energy Secretary tis morning. He said the main problem right now is Refinery Capacity! This is basically what I said last week, and I got blasted by more than one LL Genius saying I was wrong. Do we go with Energy Sec, or LL self appointed Genius’s? Lol

Getting harder to find off road diesel, my local gas station still sells it.

oldhunter, off road diesel can be found at some gas stations in areas where it’s use is common. Notably in areas of logging industry and ag producers.

OK thats what I assumed, but where and how is it bought?  I also assume through bulk delivery, and not sold at traditional retail pumps. 

Paid $4.16 a gallon yesterday for regular at my shell gas station I go to. Don't like the price but when you need gas you buy it.

What exactly is off road diesel fuel?

Rifle that make sense, they suspended the gas tax in other states like KY too. 

RC, we had the same refinery issues 6 months ago, the national avg price for diesel was 3.56/gal, its 5.65 now.   

Graceonpoint, the reason gasoline prices are low in Indiana but diesel is not is because the governor suspended the tax on gasoline but did not for diesel.  Indiana has some of the highest fuel taxes in the country,  ranked 3rd highest for gas and 4th highest for diesel.  Right now without the gas tax, gas is under $3/gal in some areas of Indiana.  Seeing some stations in the $2.80-$2.90 range on Gasbuddy.
