Electric Vehicles here to stay

I just put my reservation in for the Ford F150 Lightning, cost me $100 down payment and if I ever take delivery I dont expect it for a couple years. Hey maybe something will change and I never take delivery. I got the ball rolling anyway.  Tesla maybe. For the money the Tesla truck is a superior product at a more affordable price than the F150.

When will Electric vehicles overtake gasoline vehicles?

Tesla quarterly earnings down. Looks like everyone who wanted to buy one, bought one. People who didn’t, won’t. Lol

Subsidies should be there to help everyone. It’s an evil web we’ve created. No wonder we’re so far in the hole! 😳💩💥

Madforlabs, was farmers/ag industry on the list?  I think a lot of people would be surprised that without USDA Price Support program the industry would collapse.

Lot of hypocrisy on this thread.  Many government "subsidies" all over the place:

Farming
Manufacturing
Start up companies
Big oil
Green energy
Unemployment
Food stamps
Government bailouts of risky venture capitalists that put all their eggs in risky banking institutions that failed while trying to maximize profits
Etc. Etc. Etc.

EV's are just one of many subsidized sectors of the US economy.

Good thing we won't need power plants (fossil fuels) to produce all that electricity we will need.......

Don’t forget the carbon credit system.  Governments raise the fuel efficiency/emissions standards to unattainable levels for manufacturers of ICE vehicles only.  Those manufacturers then purchase carbon credits from the EV manufacturers like Tesla to the tune of $1.79 billion in 2023 alone and nearly $9 billion since 2009.

I don’t care if they are gas, electric , solar or cooking oil, or flatuance powered. But wish they would get the self driving cars perfected. As an “OLD GEEZER”
Me own self, realize day coming when skills erode to point of giving up being behind the wheel. Never want to have to beseech other's for my transport issues…
So get those cars safe, and while you’re at it, make d a m n sure they can pull and launch/retrieve my 14 footer!!!

FWIW, State and Federal subsidies are everywhere. Some surprising recipients:
1. Boeing
2. Intel
3.Ford
4. GM
5. Micron Technologies

Tesla down at #17
