In the strict definition, yes..

"Defacing" would be the addition of a symbol or charge to another flag.

In the United States it is against the Flag Code to deface the national flag with advertising or with any other sigil, image or insignia.

With that said, it is done all the time. I do (an opinion) believe it is very different than Flag Desecration.

In vexillology "defacing" does not carry negative connotations..

As a retired Soldier who served 25 years in the regular Army, I see nothing wrong with this. It looks like who ever made it was trying to make a point that the US and  Israel are friends and linked together.

Personally, I have no issues with it. It's the burning, cutting and pissing on the actual flag that gets me.

So wrong in many ways. Don't believe they are part of the United States

Saw some footage of the Army Golden Knights parachute team this weekend while in Milwaukee.  One of the team members had a US flag hanging below.  When he landed, he flared in such a way that a grounds crew member could retrieve the flag before it touched the ground. Now thats attention to detail!

Its anyone's Consitutional Right to deface Old Glory but if you do and you find yourself in harms way in my presence, please understand when I turn my back.

Interesting discussion, not vexing at all.
