That is awesome, Snagger. I like seeing craftsmen. We have lost a bunch to modern technology. Very few can do that quality of work. When guys paint their own lures I get a smile. Hands on is becoming a thing of the past. MRGLAX, nice lures.

Here is one of my birds black cap chickadee I carved for competition in the internationals you have to make everything yourself pine cones , pine branch , birds feet of course carving the bird and painting. The pine branch is made of wire and copper, the pine cone is made from  copper that I cut and pressed. Bird's feet from copper . This bird has 600 hours of Labor in it , my first time competing and only time. There was 400 birds on the table. I was watching the judging they walked up to the table picked my bird up and moved it to the side. I had thought I did something wrong so I left and went to lunch ,came back from lunch to see if I was disqualified. Both of my birds had blue ribbons.

The local shops didn't have any of the pike baits I wanted so I took matters into my own hands.

We stopped at a craft store a few days ago and my wife really liked some of the yard art that was made from old tools, especially a goofy looking bird. So without her knowing I took a few pics of it and made her one yesterday, gave it to her today for her B day.

Fowler, I use an old ironing board, for sighting in rifles. Works well, folds flat, and cost nothing.

Oh Fowler, so sorry to hear that.

I always loved hunting with Bella, she was such a good pup, and was so good with my boys!

Really bummed to hear that my friend

Unfortunately,  Bella the duck commando passed back in March. 15yrs 7months. Quite a run she had in the duck marsh.
