 Chicago Cubs.. Where do we start

Not the outcome we were hoping for, but they showed some grit coming from behind to make it a game. A couple of bad breaks can change the outcome of games when you’re playing a good team. Houck is one of the best pitchers in the league and it took 7 innings to crack it open. Other than Leiter Jr., the Cubs pitching was pretty solid. Palencia looked good in his first game back. I would like to see him move into the closer’s role with his velocity. 

On to the Mets and four games at Citi Field. Mets have started to play good baseball since their rough start. The good news is the Cubs probably won’t face Garrett in any of the four games.

Well it looks like our bullpen is going to blow it again.And they sure did 5-4 Boston wins on a walk off bloop single. Thank you Mr. Leiter for your performance tonight! Got to re-group for the Mets. GO CUBS.

Good fight, just not enough.

Wow Cubs were down going into the 8th inning tonight 4-1 but got a 3 run homerun to tie the game. Hopefully we can push across anther run or two and get out of Fenway with a victory tonight. GO CUBS!

Jordan Wicks scratched as the Cubs starter tonight in the final game against Boston. Hayden Wesneski will get the start instead

It wasn’t the Cubs day today. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1-0 or 17-0, it’s just one loss.
Matt Mervis now has the highest ERA as any first baseman in the league. 
The good thing is the Cubs didn’t lose any ground in the standings with the Crew having the same kind of game.

Sure did take a beaten Mr. G, but as you say there's always tomorrow and a win will give us the series so "roll the dice" .Cubs pulled off a cash for player  deal today sending  a first baseman to Boston for cash. Later and good night my friends..

Ouch!  Mervis and Wisdom got some hill time in today......lol.

Put it in the rear view mirror and take the series tomorrow!

3:10 starting time for today’s game. Ben Brown going against Josh Winckowski. Ben Brown has been great for the Cubs since taking over the starting job with Steele being out. Hopefully the Cubs can keep the offense going again today. The bottom of the order has really been contributing nicely in the last few games.

Looks like I missed a good game last night. Playing pool until 11:30 pm then straight home. Good win I see. I'll watch them this afternoon. By the way I won my two matchs too last night.

Great wIn to start the series. Putting up 4 runs against the league’s ERA leader is huge. Imanaga was sharp only giving up 5 hits and 7 strikeouts for the win.

Cubs are up big in Boston {top of the 8th}

Big series starting tonight. Great matchup with Imanaga going against Crawford. Both pitchers have been on top of their game and it will be interesting to see how both offenses do. 
Red Sox are coming off a tough series loss against Cleveland. This first game will be huge for either team and will set the tone for the remainder of the series.

Exciting!  Excellent team!     Can’t wait till we play toe to toe
