Lacrosse area bass fishing suggestions

Heading to Lacrosse area this weekend and hoping to do some wading for smallies... Any suggestions on general rivers that would be worth a try?

We've made several trips to Vernon County fly fishing for trout this summer and plan to start there on Friday morning. But we're going to head to LaCrosse afterwards and want to try our hand at some smallies while we're in the area.
