Which is the best color for SI\DI Helix units on bright days?

im having a heckuva time dialing mine in.  I've tried making a visor type lid to create some shade.  I'd like to hear what others are doing to see the display better.

Thanks

Brown seems to work best for me on bright days, blue on overcast days. Your mileage may vary of course. As was said, if you can, adjust the viewing angle. That can change a lot.

thought that the Newer HB's were brighter... I know my 998HD is bright enough...

are you getting glare? and if not able to adjust, you could try an anti-glare screen cover...I have on my HB's and it helped... but it's really a personal thing

here's an example ScreenPatronus-Humminbird-Anti-glare-Protector

I don't recall which mfg made the ones I have

edit: this is what I got lexerd.com/Fish-Finder-Radars/Humminbird

edit2: I found the brown to be a little better palette ... for my eyes anyways

I have played with many of the different colors on my SI units, and I cannot say that I am sold on one.  I've used brown, green and blue on differrent occasions. I would have to say that I use brown and blue most often.  Is the angle of your display adjustable, or are you mounted in dash?
