I know this has been posted many times before, but because of the major LakeLink search shortcomings, you cannot see the previous posts.

I just bought 2 Humminbirds and need a mapping card. I will be fishing inland lakes and rivers. Your choice? Pluses and minuses?

Thanks in advance

I believe the Lakemaster brand is the preferred map/chip partner of Hummingbird.  Perhaps that is the best one.

I have both a Lakemaster and a Navionics chip.  I've found the Lakemaster to be better on smaller lakes that I fish.  But Navionics is better for the Bay of Green Bay where I also fish.

So, it's a toss up, but I think you will get better functionality with Lakemaster for most everything when using it with a Humminbird.

Did you ever find the Maps?

Here is the Hummingbird Lakemaster Plus Maps on Ebay starting at $50

Check to be sure your lakes are included in whichever you choose.  I made the mistake of getting Lakemaster v 8 only to find it does not include my home water- which has a six lane town launch and at least five other single launches throughout the flowage.  It does, however, have a nearby town park lake mapped which has no public access.  Glad I still had my old Navionics chip which works in my new console Helix 7.
