I have a Lowrance HDS5 finder I got along with some other used items. Its just the monitor unit, nothing else, but is in very good shape. Doesn't look like it was used much.  I know very little about fishing electronics, so I'm wondering if this is worth trying to sell? Or if I were to use it myself, what would I need to buy to make it useful? thanks.

I have a hds 10 on my boat, but have a couple hds5’s set up for ice fishing. You would need to purchase an ice ducer and power cable. For the type of fishing that I do it’s awesome. Don’t even use the vexiliar anymore.

Joe,

What you have is an HDS 5 gen 1 locator.

You will need a power cable and a skimmer transducer.

Skimmer transducer: HST-WSBL

Power cable: 127-49

This is just a guess but you could maybe get $150 for it.
