Anybody have a good solution on cleaning that dreaded dry water spots of your Humminbird locator screen. Window cleaner just does not do it.

Thanks,

Powerman

I keep a spray bottle of 50/50 mix of water an vinegar. in the boat.  Cleans water spots on screenss no issues.

Go to office Max or a store like that and buy a computer screen cleaner. Keep that and a microfiber cloth in the boat

I have had luck with monster TV/computer screen cleaners or sinan brands,  for tough spots I try and soak it... ethic lay locator flat or wet a rag and let stay on there for a while.  It worked pretty well for me. It's not perfect but it's close

I keep some moist towelettes like you clean eye glasses with in the boat and wipe the screen down if it gets dirty. Once residue gets dried on in the sun there is not much more you can do. Those dried on water spot stains seem to be there permanently.

Search Amazon for "screen wipes" or if you don't want to go that route, go with vinnegar and water mixture or Windex with vinegar.
